FAQ
Q. Can I have extensions with really short nails?

A. Yes you can. Depending on how short your nails are a nail lip can be made to then put a form under to then create the actual extension.

Q. My nails are weak can I still have extensions?

A. We would recommend you don't have extensions as the weaker end of the nail may not support the extension. This could lead to it snapping & causing pain. You could have an acrylic overlay on the nails you have to give extra strength & support.

Q. My nails flake on the ends a lot, are there any treatments I can have?

A. A varnish or Shellac/Gel would be ok, but this has potential to still possibly flake off. We wouldn't recommend acrylic as it may make them worse.

Q. I have a skin problem, can I still be treated?

A. No. Please see list on policy page before trying to book a treatment.

Q. I am diabetic, are there any treatments I can have?

A. As long as your Dr has authorised you to be able to have a treatment then that is fine. Different utensils have to be used on a diabetic & temperature of water has to be monitored.

Q. What's the difference between Shellac & Gel?

A. Nothing. They are the same product just different brands.

Q. What's the difference between Varnish & Shellac/Gel?

A. Varnish is not as hard wearing & can chip easily. Shellac/Gel is harder wearing, up to 2 weeks, although depending on how you treat your nails & if you follow the aftercare, we have had some clients manage 9 weeks with a Shellac on without chipping.

Q. Can you remove my extensions or Shellac/Gel polish?

A. No. For insurance purposes we haven't put them on so we don't know what state your nails are in underneath, so can't be held responsible for any damage. Also all Salons use different products which can make it impossible to remove.

Q. Do you use a drill?

A. Rarely - We use hand files & because of this some treatments can take longer.
On some infills you may be asked if you would like a drill of hand file (a drill would only be used to de-bulk for an infill treatment, nothing more, causing no damage to the nail itself).
